The brand new VANGUARD SPLIT is the culmination of over a decade of splitboard design and manufacturing. This directional shape is perfect for everyone from novice to advanced level riders as it's forgiving when you need it to be but can also handle aggressive backcountry terrain like a champ. The elongated shovel and offset hybrid camber, combined with the slight taper in the tail make it effortless in powder and soft snow. The lightweight carbon glass and Canadian Aspen core mean that you're exerting less energy in your ascent, and the white topsheet reflects light to shed unwanted snow and ice and the weight that comes with it. Also available in a 146cm and 150cm for women and lighter riders.
The lightweight construction features a sintered 7500 base, full wrap steel edge, multi-layer vibration dampening, carbon triax, PUR 90A urethane sidewalls, full-length Canadian Aspen Woodcore, Kevlar binding and tour bracket reinforcement, Stainless steel glass reinforced inserts, a matte finish topsheet and bio resin.
Each board is built in Squamish, British Columbia by hand by shaper Jason Broz who has over 25 years of board building experience.
